Brief Description of the Project
A feeding program for 300 pupils of F. Benitez Elementary School Main & III (Brgy Sta Cruz & Brgy Singkamas, Makati City). This program, “FEED A CHILD, BUILD A NATION” – A Rotary Food For Education Initiative, is a project of the Rotary Club of Makati North – District 3830 in its Community/Youth Service.
Method of Choosing Beneficiaries
An estimated 40 percent of the Philippine population falls below the government’s official poverty line. This is up from 37 percent in 2000. An estimated 36 percent of all children in the Philippines suffer from some type of nutritional deficiency.
